Review of the Miracle Wheatgrass Juicer MJ445
The Miracle wheatgrass juicer MJ445 is a manual wheatgrass juice extractor aimed at people to wish to gain al the benefits of drinking wheatgrass juice but without the high cost of buying an all electric wheatgrass juicer.
Molded from high quality stainless steel it is obvious on first sight that this is a beautifully crafted and robust piece of equipment. The auger used to crush the wheatgrass is based upon Miracles top of the line commercial juicer and is able to do away with the regulating screw used in other models.
As is common with most slow moving masticating juice extractors the Miracle MJ445 produces very little foam.
It is best to use the Miracle wheatgrass juicer MJ445 solely for wheatgrass and leafy greens as that it what it is best at juicing. For fruits and vegetables you’re probably better off with an electric centrifugal juicer such as the Breville 800jexl.
For those people not used to operating a hand crank manual wheatgrass juicer it may appear to take forever to get some juice out of one of these extractors but with a little practice you’ll soon get used to it.
- Easy to Clean
- Made from high quality stainless steel
- Easy to crank
- As with most manual juicers you’ll find that the pulp should be fed through at least one more time
- It needs to be attached to a stable work surface no more than 1.5 inches thick
Most owners of the Miracle wheatgrass juicer MJ445 are extremely happy with their purchase noting the high quality build of the juicer, the ease of hand cranking and how quick it is to clean as the main benefits. The only complaints appear to be with having to feed the pulp through the juicer a second time so as to extract more juice from it.
Overall Impression of the Miracle Wheatgrass Juicer MJ445
The Miracle wheatgrass juicer MJ445 is a fine quality manual juice extractor that produces a good quality wheatgrass juice. It is not the cheapest hand crank wheatgrass juicer on the market but then again it is made of stainless steel rather than plastic so you know that it will last.
This type of juicer is ideally suited to those new to making wheatgrass juice and wish to see whether it is something that they enjoy before splashing out on an electric model. Manual wheatgrass juicers are also useful for those times that electricity is not available, such as on camping trips or when on the road.
One thing I should point out is that it appears to be very similar to the Hurricane Stainless Steel manual wheatgrass juicer apart from the finish. The Hurricane model has a gloss finish whereas the Miracle juicers finish is satin/matt. Whilst both products are similarly priced the Hurricane Wheatgrass juicer, at the time of writing this review, also came with a trade-in option. So if you wish to upgrade from the hand crank version to an electric model, within a year, you will get a $60 trade-in rebate.
For those of you wishing to try out a manual wheatgrass juicer before upgrading to an electric model this may be a reason for choosing the Hurricane wheatgrass juicer instead. It should be noted that this offer was available on the Amazon website so if you decide to buy else where you should check whether the trade-up option is available before buying.
